Program Manager
Alberto Castillo Aroca is a Program Manager and Artificial Intelligence (AI) expert at 3iS, where he leads initiatives to enhance decision-making, coordination, and the response capacity of humanitarian actors in crisis-affected regions. His work centers on integrating global standards, AI and digital solutions to strengthen crisis response and improve outcomes for vulnerable populations.
Alberto has extensive experience in humanitarian operations, needs assessments and conflict analysis, particularly within the health sector and across the Americas and Africa. He has focused on supporting indigenous communities, refugees, migrants, and victims of armed conflict, providing tailored assessments and solutions to address their specific challenges and needs.
Alberto has collaborated with international organizations such as OCHA, UNDP, and WHO/PAHO. He is also deeply familiar with the Health Cluster system within the Humanitarian Program Cycle (HPC) and is recognized as a Global Expert on the JIAF 2.0 methodology. He holds a degree in Economics and a Master’s in Bioinformatics and Biostatistics, and is fluent in Spanish and English.
