Tamene Sinishaw Gelaye is an Information Management Officer (IMO) – Roving at 3iS, supporting capacity building and localization across Ethiopia. He brings extensive experience across the humanitarian, development, and academic sectors, specializing in data-driven decision-making and spatial analysis.
Driven by a strong commitment to humanitarian technology, he focuses on leveraging digital data collection, GIS, and remote sensing tools to build automated reporting systems and resilient early warning frameworks. Moving forward, he aspires to scale these automated alerting mechanisms to further optimize field operations, localize data ownership, and strengthen crisis coordination.
His background spans engineering the ET-RRM emergency alerting system, designing live dashboards, managing emergency operations data, technical consulting, and academic lecturing in GIS.
