Seyi Abolarin is an Information Management and Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) professional with over eight years of experience supporting humanitarian and international development programmes. He has worked with several international organizations, providing technical leadership in information management, data analytics, digital transformation, reporting automation, and evidence-based decision-making across both development and humanitarian contexts.
Throughout his career, Seyi has led and supported a wide range of development and humanitarian programmes, including HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis (TB), COVID-19, Gender-Based Violence (GBV), Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC), Maternal and Child Health (MCH), Durable Solutions, and emergency response programmes. He has played a key role in designing and implementing analytics solutions, strengthening information management systems, and managing large and complex datasets to support programme planning, monitoring, reporting, and strategic decision-making across organizations in Nigeria.
He has also supported programmes across several African countries, including Nigeria, Ghana, and Cameroon, collaborating with governments, UN agencies, donors, and humanitarian partners to strengthen programme quality and drive data-informed decisions. Passionate about capacity strengthening, Seyi has trained and mentored diverse stakeholders in information management, MEAL systems, data analytics, and digital tools. He is particularly known for his ability to translate complex technical concepts into simple, practical solutions that empower both technical and non-technical audiences. His strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and relationship management skills enable him to build collaborative partnerships and foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
Seyi holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Biochemistry from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria. Outside of work, he enjoys playing volleyball, spending quality time with his family, and exploring innovative ways to use data and technology to solve real-world challenges.
