She is a dedicated Social Welfare and Data Management professional with over three years of experience in humanitarian programming, community engagement, monitoring and evaluation (M&E), and digital data collection. She has successfully supported projects implemented by N-HYPPADEC, USAID/Creative Associates International, JHPIEGO, IPSOS Nigeria, and Telo Nelson Survey Company, contributing to evidence-based interventions across Sokoto and Kebbi States.
She possesses strong expertise in community mobilization, stakeholder engagement, field research, needs assessments, and information management, with proficiency in digital data collection platforms including ODK, KoboToolbox, and SurveyCTO. Her experience includes coordinating social welfare interventions, conducting Early Grade Reading Assessments (EGRA), mapping gender-based violence (GBV) services, managing youth empowerment programmes, and producing high-quality reports to support humanitarian and development initiatives.
Until recently, she served as a Social Welfare Officer with the National Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission (N-HYPPADEC), where she led community welfare programmes, supervised youth transformation initiatives, coordinated resettlement and livelihood support activities, and served as a liaison between government institutions and host communities.
She holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Sociology from Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, and a Diploma in Mass Communication from Ummaru Aliyu Shinkafi Polytechnic, Sokoto. She is currently pursuing a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Sociology at Sokoto State University. Fluent in English, Hausa, and Fulfulde, she combines strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills with a passion for improving the well-being of vulnerable populations through data-driven and community-centered development.
