Oscar De Oro

Geographer with a Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences from the Federal University of Goiás (Brazil) and more than 14 years of experience in research and consulting applied to geographic, environmental, territorial, and humanitarian contexts. Specialist in geospatial technologies—satellite and drone Remote Sensing, GIS, and spatial modeling—to support diagnostic processes, planning, and decision-making in complex socio-environmental settings. He has extensive experience in cadastre, territorial management, vulnerability analysis, socio-environmental resilience, risk management, and natural resource characterization, integrating multisource information to strengthen territorial governance, support for vulnerable populations, and the formulation of sustainable development strategies. His work focuses on generating applied knowledge and technical solutions that contribute to building safer, more equitable, and more resilient territories.
