Fridon Japaridze

Fridon Japaridze is an information management and technology professional with over 17 years of experience working across humanitarian and development contexts. He has led country offices and managed complex, multi-stakeholder projects in crisis-affected environments, including Libya, Iraq, Yemen, Ukraine, Jordan, Armenia and the Philippines, supporting evidence-based decision-making through innovative digital solutions.

His work spans information management, project and product management, and capacity building, with a strong focus on designing and implementing tailored technological systems. In this context, he has led the development of AI-driven tools to strengthen situational awareness, narrative and information-environment analysis, and early-warning capabilities, ensuring that advanced technologies are translated into practical, field-ready solutions.

Throughout his career, he has held senior roles such as Country Representative, Information Management Officer, Project Manager, and Trainer of Trainers. He has designed and delivered capacity-strengthening programs for government institutions, NGOs, and UN agencies, strengthening national and institutional capabilities in data management, analytics, and technology-enabled planning.

Fridon holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from the Technical University of Georgia and a Master’s degree in Information Systems Management from the University of Salford. His professional interests lie at the intersection of artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and sustainable development, with a strong commitment to leveraging technology to generate measurable impact in complex and fragile settings.
