Masresha Anwar is an Information Management and Geospatial Specialist with a background in Remote Sensing and Geo-informatics. She holds a MSc in Remote Sensing and Geo-informatics from Addis Ababa University and has developed professional experience in humanitarian information management, GIS, data analysis, visualization, and capacity building.
Since 2023, she has worked with iMMAP Inc., progressing from an Information Management Intern to an Information Management Assistant. In this role, she has supported humanitarian sectors across different stages of the information management cycle, from data collection and quality assurance to analysis, visualization, and dissemination. Her experience includes developing data collection tools, managing and validating datasets, producing maps, dashboards, infographics, and other information products, as well as supporting data sharing and coordination among humanitarian partners.
She is passionate about strengthening information management systems and building the capacity of teams to effectively use data and technology for evidence-based decision-making. She is excited to bring her experience in information management, geospatial analysis, and capacity building to 3iS and contribute to its work in strengthening data-driven humanitarian action.
