Bruno Romagny is a renewable resources economist, Director of Research (HDR) at the French National Institute for Sustainable Development (IRD, https://en.ird.fr/) and a member of the Population – Environment – Development Laboratory in Marseille (LPED, UMR 151 IRD – Aix Marseille University, https://lped.fr/?RomagnyBruno).
Bruno Romagny is currently deputy director of the IRD’s ‘Societies and Globalisation’ scientific department (SOC, https://www.ird.fr/societes-et-mondialisation-soc).
His research led him to work first in Ivory Coast (1997-2000) on the maritime fisheries sector, then in Tunisia (2002-2006) on water and desertification, and since 2003 on various issues in Morocco as part of a number of expert appraisals and multidisciplinary research programs carried out in partnership.
Between 2016 and 2021, Bruno Romagny was co-director of MediTer, the ‘Mediterranean Terroirs’ mixed international laboratory (LMI), based in Morocco (Rabat and Marrakech) and Tunisia.
