Samson Demissie

Samson Demissie is a highly skilled Information Management Officer (IMO) and GIS Analyst with over 10 years of experience in the development and humanitarian aid sectors. He specializes in managing and analyzing complex data, interpreting quantitative information, and collaborating with diverse teams to support effective decision-making. With a strong passion for utilizing his technical expertise in GIS and information management, Samson plays a key role in advancing humanitarian efforts and promoting sustainable development initiatives. 

Before joining 3iSolution, Samson contributed significantly to UNICEF's WASH cluster, where he led data collection, analysis, and dissemination efforts during drought response initiatives. He excels in designing and managing databases, developing insightful geospatial analyses and maps, and producing comprehensive, data-driven reports. Samson is also committed to capacity building, delivering training sessions to empower individuals with the critical information management skills necessary for successful humanitarian response. 

Fluent in English, Amharic, and Afan Oromo, Samson holds an MSc in Geomatics, an MA in Project Management, and a BSc in Geoinformatics.
