Vincent Staub graduated from the Ecole Centrale de Marseille in 2000 (Master’s degree in Science and Engineering) with a specialization in spatial optics and remote sensing. He then worked for 8 years as a consultant for NASA and ESA (European Space Agency) on the International Space Station program. In parallel, he obtained an advanced university degree in International Relations (Centre d’Études Diplomatiques et Stratégiques de Paris) and published a book about Libya and the sub Saharan migrations as well as multiple photography reports. In 2010, he started a new career as humanitarian pilot in West and Central Africa flying for local airlines as well as for the United Nations. Vincent Staub is now a long-haul pilot for Air France and is involved in the operations of the NGO « Aviation Without Borders »

Gerard Gomez has been serving in the humanitarian aid sector for 33 years. He has worked for Médecins sans Frontières from 1989 to 2002 in El Salvador, Mozambique, South Sudan, Chechenia, Haiti, and Sri Lanka. He further worked with various UN Agencies between 2002 and 2021, including the United Nations Office of Coordination of Humanitarian affair (OCHA) as regional director for Latin America and the Caribbean as well as for the Pacific region, and as a country director in Colombia, Burundi, while serving as a special senior humanitarian officer in Mali. He was also deployed with International Organization for Migration (IOM) to Colombia, in the coordination mechanism with United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in response to the Venezuelan migration crisis.
He has experience in emergency preparedness and response, humanitarian coordination, crisis management, information management, analyses, advocacy, planning and logistic. He has worked in conflict situations as well as in climate-related crises including response missions to hurricanes, landslides, or floods, earthquakes or volcanic eruptions across the globe. He is currently retired from the United Nations.

Mrs. Temple-Boyer holds a PhD in Geography. She is a Social Geographer specialized in environmental issues, lecturer in the University Paris Nanterre at the Research Unit of LAVUE UMR CNRS Lab (National Center of Scientific Research).
Recruited in September 2009, she is currently the Co-Director of the master program on Water Management and Local Development (Master GEDELO).
Her research work took her first to Tunisia (2001-2006) to study the water and soil conservation. Since 2007, she had several missions in Mediterranean countries on vulnerability and water management (2006-2009), and in Kenya on water policy and territorialization (2013-2017).
Currently, she conducts research in France on urban river management, water issues, land governance, and landscape planning. She is especially interested in the relationships between actors, territories, and sustainable environmental resources.

Ms. Jauffret is a plant ecologist, Programme Officer at the Global Mechanism of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification since May 2018. Being team lead for Land Degradation Neutrality Transformative Projects and Programme, she coordinates the development and management of a project portfolio in more than 70 countries, worldwide, at the national/regional level to identify and develop large-scale sustainable land management and landscape restoration interventions, in partnership with key development partners.
Previously, she has led and contributed strategically and operationally to the development of drylands, working with public, private, and international institutions, in particular at the Sahara and Sahel Observatory (OSS). With the OSS, she coordinated and managed the Long-Term Ecological Monitoring Observatories Network (ROSELT/OSS) involving 4 sub-regional organizations (CEN-SAD, CILSS, IGAD, and UMA), 12 countries (+100 multidisciplinary and multicultural experts in Algeria, Cap Verde, Egypt, Ethiopia, Kenya, Libya, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, Niger, Tunisia, and Senegal) and 14 pilot-observatories.
Ms. Jauffret has a Ph.D. in desertification monitoring in Southern Tunisia and dedicated her professional career to ensuring sustainable development globally in the drylands as well as in the Mediterranean region. He is currently co-director of the International Joint Laboratory (LMI) MediTer (2016-2020), Mediterranean terroir: heritage, mobility, social change, and innovation, established in Morocco (Rabat & Marrakech) and in Tunisia.

Raed Abou Saleh joined 3iS in September, 2023 as a Security and Logistics Coordinator. In his role, Raed monitors and oversees the implementation of 3iSolution’s humanitarian access, safety and security policy at a global level to ensure that risks related to staffing, programming and assets management are mitigated to the best acceptable levels. Raed also works with colleagues in the field in order to maintain an efficient and effective supply chain management (procurement, fleet and assets management).
Prior to his current role, Raed worked in the private sector, as well as in the humanitarian sector with different international NGOs for over five years.
