3iS, in partnership with UNDP, strengthened Iraq’s water management by developing a River Basin Monitoring System for the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers. This project equipped the Iraqi Ministry of Water Resources’s National Centre for Water Resource Management (NCWRM) with advanced data tools, GIS technology, and predictive modeling to monitor water resources, forecast floods and droughts, and improve decision-making. By enhancing early warning systems and geospatial analysis, 3iS helped Iraq mitigate water shortages and build a more sustainable future.
