Grants and Finance Coordinator
Biruk Kasahun joined 3iSolution in August 2023 as Grant and Finance Coordinator in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Prior to his current position, he worked in various organization e.g. iMMAP Inc as National Finance Officer for Ethiopia operation prior to that worked at ChildFund International as Senior Grant Finance Officer for BMZ , LEGO , WB ,GFFO ,ChildFund Alliances and other grants project with his core competence and responsibility in proposal budget development ,Grant finance management includes providing financial reports on actual vs budget spend and analysis, Responsible for Partners( 10+) finance reporting as well as ensuring timely review and feedback of their reports, Representation in internal and external audit.
Prior to joining CF he worked in World Vision International in Finance ,Grant and related business support with strong analytical and communication background for multimillion USAID-BHA, UN-OCHA, ECHO , OFDA, DFID, EHF,FAO etc. funded grant emergency projects in Gedio-West Guji and transferred to Northern Ethiopia Crises Emergency response as Response Finance Officer. And prior to joining the humanitarian sector he was in the retail sector with INCHCAPE, MOENCO as an Accountant in Addis Ababa head office and he has Customer service experience with Kifya Financial Technology.
He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration – Global Management from Lead star college of leadership & Management with Ashland University US and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from Hawassa University in Ethiopia. He speaks English and Amharic.
